Greg Bafalis brings over 39 years of extensive experience in developing, financing, constructing, and operating energy projects. He has been instrumental in the development of power plants with investments exceeding $3 billion. Greg built an integrated energy company in South America from the ground up, achieving over $200 million in yearly EBIT. As the founder and CEO of a renewable energy company, he led the creation and operation of the largest biodiesel production facility in the United States. His leadership experience also includes serving as CEO of an algae-based start-up, where he successfully raised over $100 million, and as CEO of a gasification company focused on wood waste, biosolids, and biocarbon production. With his impressive track record, Greg is poised to drive significant success at Clean Carbon Development Partners.
Joe Regnery brings solid and progressive experience in corporate strategy, fundraising, and product development/origination. He has financed multi-million dollar fossil and renewable energy projects utilizing non-recourse financing and non-dilutive funding. As an attorney by trade, Joe has led both front office and back-office development activities. His career includes roles at Westinghouse, Siemens, and later Calpine in the power sector. Joe has held multiple directorship and executive positions with start-up companies focused on introducing new technologies in the energy, fuels, and chemicals space. His successful development activities have targeted converting residue materials into renewable co-heat power, gaseous fuels, and solid or gaseous carbon products. Joe's extensive background and innovative approach make him a valuable asset to Clean Carbon Development Partners.
